Malaysia to face higher ranked teams in King's Cup
Malaysia will be among four football teams participating in the King's Cup quadrangular in Chiang Mai from Sept 20-24.
This was announced by the FA of Thailand today.
Apart from World No 147 Malaysia, the other participants are hosts Thailand (world No 111), Tajikistan (No 108) and Trinidad & Tobago (No 101).
Malaysia emerged as champions in four editions of the King's Cup: in 1972, 1976, 1977 and 1978.
The King's Cup will serve as a run-up for the Malaysian team preparing for the AFF Cup and part of national coach Kim Pan Gon's team preparations against higher ranked teams. Read More...
