Minister Susko Proposes Dismissal of Judge Kliment
At a press conference in June, Minister of Justice Boris Susko (Smer-SD) announced the submission of a disciplinary motion against Supreme Court judge Juraj Kliment, proposing his dismissal from his judicial position.
On July 4, 2024, Susko officially submitted the disciplinary proposal to the Supreme Administrative Court of the Slovak Republic. The press department of the Ministry of Justice confirmed this information, with Denník N also drawing attention to the submission.
In the disciplinary proposal, Minister Susko cited decisions by the highest judicial authorities concerning the violation of basic human rights and freedoms by the 5T Senate as part of the justification for his action.
This development marks a significant step in the Slovak judiciary, highlighting the ongoing scrutiny and accountability within the legal system.
