Ministry of Education and Unicef evaluate plan to assist communities affected by rains
During a meeting held this Tuesday, October 11, the Minister of Education, Yelitze Santaella, together with the representative of the United Nations Children's Fund (Unicef), Abubacar Sultán, evaluated a comprehensive care plan for assist the territories affected by the rains.
This was detailed by the Minister through her account on the social network Twitter.
"I held a meeting with the representative of @unicefvenezuela, Mr. Abubacar Sultán, for the preparation of a joint comprehensive care plan that allows us to attend to the territories affected by the climatic phenomenon that impacts our country," the minister pointed out on Twitter.
After the intense rains registered in the country in recent days, one of the most affected towns was Las Tejerías in the state of Aragua, where the overflow of five streams has left a balance of thirty-six dead and more than fifty people missing in addition to 800 homes affected, of which almost 400 were total losses.
