Mohamed Camara, Malian international: “I was convinced by the AS Monaco projectâ€
Arrived from Red Bull Salzburg, Mohamed Camara is now a new AS Monaco player! During his presentation conference, the Malian international spoke about his future objectives.
Mohamed Camara is Monegasque! Arrived from Austrian club Red Bull Salzburg, the new midfielder was officially presented last week during his first press conference in the red and white jersey, accompanied by sporting director Paul Mitchell.
Paul Mitchell on Mohamed Camara:
“I am very happy to welcome a player of this quality to AS Monaco. Mohamed is only 22 years old but already has real natural leadership. You had to be patient to find the right player, and with him we found it. We place a lot of hope in him because we are aware of his great qualities. It's something we wanted in midfield. Again, the leadership he showed in a young Salzburg team, and especially in the Champions League was very impressive. And when he is in the national team with Mali, it's the same thing! He was born a leader and he is a born competitor. It is therefore a perfect marriage between him and AS Monaco!”
His arrival at AS Monaco
“I had Philippe Clément on the phone several times, he explained to me the club's project and what I could bring to the team. Here is the perfect place for me. I will be able to continue my progress in a favorable environment. The infrastructure is magnificent. Everything is professional and all the conditions are met to succeed! Anyway, we can't say no to AS Monaco. It's the biggest club in France” , said Mohamed Camara.
What he wants to bring to the club
“First, I wanted to say that there is nothing above the institution. As a result, I will try to give the best of myself in each training session but also in matches. As I said before, the conditions are optimal here to progress and perform. The team this season is very competitive and the competition will lift us all up. But, I don't really like to talk about myself. I prefer to let the pitch speak for me, but above all, it's up to the coach to judge me and tell me if I'm good or not! But I want to help the club as much as possible”. Read More...
