More than 14,000 high school students apply to the COAR
Registration for High Performance Colleges is free and ends on January 29
More than 14,000 high school students have enrolled in the admission process to the High Performance Colleges (COAR), the educational model promoted by the Ministry of Education and aimed at outstanding students with outstanding abilities.
María Márquez, coordinator of the Directorate of Specialized Educational Services of the Ministry of Education (Minedu), reported that registration to apply for the 2,677 vacancies offered by the 25 COARs throughout the country is free and will end on January 29.
"Being part of the COAR family contributes to the comprehensive education of the student, since in these schools not only are the competencies of the National Curriculum implemented, but also the diploma program and the international baccalaureate are developed," she said.
The official explained that the requirements to apply are to have completed the second grade of secondary school in a Regular Basic Education public school and to have occupied one of the top 10 positions in 1st year of secondary school or to have obtained, during the 1st or 2nd grade , one of the first three places in any of the contests called or recognized by the Minedu, whether at a local, regional or national stage.
Likewise, have a maximum of 15 years of age until March 31, 2023, have Peruvian nationality and, in case of having foreign nationality, have the documents required by the competent authority. Read More…
