Morocco’s Casablanca is World’s Third Cheapest City for International Education
All six African cities included in the report ranked among the 20 least expensive cities in the world.
A recent research by the International School Database revealed that the Moroccan city of Casablanca is the third cheapest city in the world for international education in 2022, with an average cost of $4,067 (MAD 41,245) per year.
The cost of international education in the Moroccan city saw a 14.1% year-to-year drop compared to $4,735 (MAD 48,020) in 2021.
International school fees in Casablanca ranged from a minimum of $1,570 (MAD 15,922) to a maximum of $11,734 (MAD 119,000) in 2022, indicated the report.
In addition, Casablanca ranked as the second cheapest city in Africa, while the capital of Kenya, Nairobi, is the most expensive city on the continent when it comes to international schooling.
Nairobi is followed by Ethiopia's Addis Ababa, South Africa’s Johannesburg, and Uganda’s Kampala. Meanwhile, Cape Town came at the bottom of the ranking as the cheapest city in Africa.
"Africa continues to offer the lowest costs for international schools compared to other regions. Of the 76 cities included in our analysis, African cities all ranked among the 20 least expensive,” noted the report. Read More…
