The Municipality of Ciudad del Este held on Friday, September 9, a new day of environmental education at the San Antonio Basic School, in the neighborhood of the same name, with the accompaniment of Mayor Miguel Prieto Vallejos.
Students from first to sixth grade participated, who had a pleasant and spontaneous interaction with the mayor and technicians of the Municipality, when observing the municipal work for the recovery of water courses.
The students attentively received the mayor's explanation of the environmental problems generated by the irrational use of water, such as the contamination of sources, drought and climate change.
The talks take place in different educational institutions, both public and private, and focus on the importance of knowing how to classify waste, the preservation and care of water and the environment, recycling to facilitate the task of workers in the sector.
