A MAN in his late 20s has been arrested on suspicion of murder by gardai probing the death of mum-of-five Sandra Boyd.
The 36-year-old was shot once in the chest at a house on Collins Place in Finglas, Dublin at around 8.40pm on Saturday night.
The mum-of-five was treated at the scene before being rushed to the Mater Hospital were she later passed away.
The arrested man was lifted in the Dublin region this morning and is being held at Finglas Garda Station.
A Garda spokesman said: "This morning, Monday, 21st March 2022, investigating Gardai arrested a man in the Dublin region on suspicion of murder.
"The man, aged in his late 20s, is currently detained at Finglas Garda Station under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007. No further information is available at this time." Read More...
