Netflix: "Pà¡lpito", Leonardo Padrà³n's series, is already a success on the platform
After the success achieved with novels such as Café con aroma de mujer or La Reina del Flow, Netflix decided to contribute to this type of content again and last Wednesday it premiered an original series of Colombian origin that addresses a very dark theme: organ trafficking. This is Pálpito, a strip starring Argentine actor Michel Brown.
The new production of the streaming platform has all the elements to become a success: drama, action, suspense and adrenaline. A combination that manages to play with the viewer's psychology and is already paying off: it is one of the most watched titles.
Set in 2022, the story follows the life of Simón Duque (played by Brown), a man whose life suddenly changes when his wife is kidnapped after a traffic accident and killed to cut out her heart.
The show was created and written by Leonardo Padrón and directed by Camilo Vega under the executive production of Clara María Ochoa and Ana Piñeres. It has 14 episodes, 45 minutes each.
What is Pálpito, the new Netflix series, about?
"A man hell-bent on revenge on the organ tragic organization that murdered his wife accidentally becomes involved with the woman who received his heart," reads the official synopsis.
In a desperate attempt to find out the truth behind this crime, the protagonist of the story, Simón, begins to get into dark and dangerous paths to investigate what happened to his partner, who are the real culprits and who now carries the heart of his beloved.
That person is Camila, the other great protagonist, who throughout the episodes suspects that something strange happened when she received the transplant and gets closer and closer to the character of Simón until she gets entangled in a love story that will be a trap for both of them.
