Netherlands Film Fund appoints new interim CEO
The news was confirmed in a statement from the Film Fund on Monday (April 3).
Den Hamer has been appointed to the post – one of the most important in the Dutch industry – on a part-time basis. She is assuming the position from Peter Schrurs, who has been serving as interim director since the start of the year.
Bero Beyer, the current director of the fund, stepped down from the job on a temporary basis for health-related reasons in January. Bero’s recovery “unfortunately requires a longer period of rest than previously anticipated,” the Fund statement explained.
“Film and film culture in the Netherlands are close to my heart. I look forward to stepping in and working together with my colleagues at the Fund and the Dutch film sector,” den Hamer commented.
She will oversee the selective funding policy of the Fund, stakeholder relationships and preparations for the Fund’s new policy plan. She is also likely to be leading the Dutch delegation in Cannes next month. Read More…
