Netmarble Releases Teaser for New Game ‘The King of Fighters AFK’
South Korean game publisher Netmarble Corp. premiered a teaser video for its latest game, The King of Fighters (KOF) AFK, during the Tokyo Game Show 2024 at the SNK booth. The new title, developed by NetmarbleNeo Inc., is a character-collecting idle RPG based on SNK's iconic King of Fighters intellectual property (IP).
The King of Fighters AFK reimagines beloved characters from the long-running KOF series using dot graphics, tapping into nostalgic retro aesthetics while focusing on character collection mechanics. This reinterpretation aims to blend old-school visuals with modern gameplay, enhancing both the fun of collecting fighters and the idle RPG experience.
