New Special Branch chief from May 8
Khalid Ismail takes over from Baharuddin Ahmad, who has been posted to the National Security Council.
Khalid Ismail will become the new director of Bukit Aman’s Special Branch from May 8.
Khalid had been the deputy director of the Special Branch since October 2022.
Meanwhile, Baharuddin will become the deputy director (strategic communications) of the National Security Council (MKN) under the Prime Minister’s Department.
In a statement, Bukit Aman said his appointment will also take effect on May 8.
Baharuddin was made acting chief of the Special Branch in August last year, before assuming it on a permanent basis a month later. Read More…
