It still disappeared from American schools because of phrases like "God damn" and the drawing of a bare-breasted, suicidal mouse.
"Between Me and the World" by Ta-Nehisi Coates

The highly acclaimed book illuminates the relationship between white majority America and the Afro-American population in a way that is both profound and furious. The state of Texas decided that the book was unacceptable to local schools. It could trigger "discomfort, guilt and anxiety" in the students. ( js )
