Orey Antunes sanctioned by the Bank of Portugal with a fine of 100 thousand euros
Sociedade Comercial Orey Antunes (SCOA), which is in the process of revitalization, was ordered by Banco de Portugal to pay an effective fine of 100,000 euros, the company said in a statement to the Securities Market Commission (CMVM).
As part of the administrative offense process 08/18/CO, Banco de Portugal imposed a fine of 400 thousand euros on Orey Antunes, but suspended at 75% of that amount for a period of three years.
In its statement, the transport and logistics company (which in the past had a financial and brokerage business, however abandoned) does not clarify the reason for the sanction, but reveals that it will not challenge this supervisor's decision in court.
"SCOA regrets this decision because the associated fine harms, in the first instance, the company's creditors covered by the PER (Special Revitalization Plan) and other current creditors", says the Portuguese company. Read More…
