Oriol Junqueras and Marta Rovira revalidate the leadership at ERC for another four years
The Esquerra Republicana militancy has ratified with 87% the executive headed by Oriol Junqueras and Marta Rovira, the only candidate that was presented.
The turnout was 50.2% , a figure similar to that of the previous election. Specifically, he received 3,747 votes out of the 4,309 cast.
This will be the fourth and last mandate of Junqueras as president and of Rovira as general secretary, who have led the party since 2011, when an unopposed candidacy was also presented to replace the executive of Joan Puigcercós.
Junqueras and Rovira have been able to run again despite the 12-year term limit because the Republicans changed the statutes to take into account the time spent in exile and in prison.
Junqueras wanted to thank the militancy in a tweet and said that he will continue working to " win a better country".
Aragonès and Vilalta also repeat
They will also repeat Pere Aragonès as national coordinator and Marta Vilalta as deputy general secretary and spokesperson.
The candidacy is completed by the president of the ERC group in Parliament, Josep Maria Jové, as head of the National Council, and several deputy general secretaries: Jordi Roig (Resources, Finances and Management), Marc Colomer (Communication and Strategy), Raquel Sans ( Feminisms and LGTBI), Adriana Delgado (Open Party and Social Movements), Eloi Hernàndez (Institutional Coordination), Lluís Salvadó (Internal Coordination), Marta Vilaret (Rights, freedoms and anti-repressive struggle), Raül Romeva (Foresight, Agenda 2030 and Ecological Transition ), Sara Bailac (Political and Sectoral Action) and Jordi Solé (International Relations).
