Over 8,000 Families Benefit From Housing Program in Paraguay
Paraguay's Ministry of Housing successfully achieved a budget execution rate of 90% and successfully completed the construction of 8,758 houses by the end of 2022.
According to Carlos Pereira, the Minister of Housing, the number of houses constructed in 2022 is the highest in the past 12 years. This information was revealed during the submission of the management report for the Ministry of Urbanism, Housing, and Habitat (MUVH).
In his report, Pereira highlighted that a total of 25,000 families have benefited from this program over the course of four years. He expressed the ministry's commitment to expanding the Mi Vivienda (My House) program to reach even more families in need.
Furthermore, Pereira discussed several initiatives implemented in 2022, including the establishment of the Asunción Association of Municipalities. This association aims to foster collaboration between the ministry and local governments in terms of urban planning.
Last December, Pereira expressed Paraguay's ongoing progress in providing housing for families facing vulnerable circumstances.
