vetoed by the President of the Republic
Parliament has confirmed the decree concerning medically assisted death, despite being vetoed by the President of the Republic, with an overwhelming majority of 129 votes in favor. Consequently, the promulgation of the decree is mandatory.

As per the Constitution of the Republic, when faced with a presidential veto, parliament has the authority to ratify the text with an absolute majority of the incumbent deputies, which is 116 out of the total 230. In this instance, the President of the Republic will be compelled to sign the decree within eight days from the date of its receipt.
