Piotr Adamczyk will appear in the history of the search for the lost work " Maria Magdalena in Ecstasy " by the famous painter Caravaggio. The film was shot in the locations of the Italian seaside town of Porto Ercole, as well as in Berlin and Wrocław . At the side of Piotr Adamczyk, the international cast also includes: Daniel Olbrychski ("Butler"), Paulina Holtz ("Osiecka"), Alessandra Mastronardi ("The Unbearable burden of great talent"), Luca Calvani ("In love with Rome") and Torsten Voges ("Big Lebowski") and Gedeon Burkhard ("Inglourious Basterds"). The film was created by outstanding Polish filmmakers who have won numerous awards at the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia and awards granted by Poland .Film Academy - Eagles, including: Arkadiusz Tomiak ("1983") responsible for the cinematography, Paweł Mykietyn ("Wałęsa. Here is the plot description:
A mysterious death, a lost 17th-century masterpiece and an intrigue with a lot of money in the background. Dominik (Piotr Adamczyk), an outstanding art history researcher from the University of WrocÅ‚aw, sets off to picturesque Porto Ercole to collect scientific material on the last years of Caravaggio's life. On the spot, it turns out that just before his arrival, another enthusiast of the Baroque artist's work suddenly dies in the city. The late father Tornatore devoted his life to searching for the painter's works and believed that he would find the priceless painting "Mary Magdalene in ecstasy", whose fate had remained unknown for centuries. Father Tornatore's notes accidentally fall into the hands of Dominik, who, with the help of the newly-met cleric father Paolo (Luca Calvani), decides to continue his search for the lost painting. The initially exciting adventure changes its innocent face when it turns out that the Italian mafia is also on the trail of the unique canvas, and the police and the mysterious beauty Sylvia (Alessandra Mastronardi) begins to look at the activities of the seekers. Dominik becomes embroiled in dangerous thingsan investigation that reveals the backstage of an international intrigue.
