Telegram has been blamed in Germany for fueling an more and more virulent subculture of anti-vaccine conspiracy theorists who change information about supposed risks and organize protests which have spilled over into violence.
The app, which says it doesn’t bow to “authorities censorship”, has turn into more and more standard with activists and protesters, particularly as platforms like Facebook turn into extra conscious of authorities strain to crack down on these spreading lies, threats or conspiracy theories.
