The Popular Force bench presented this Wednesday, March 2, a motion of censure against the Minister of Health, Hernán Condori, whose departure - due to lack of suitability for the position - is also demanded by different medical unions.
In this way, the document obtained the 33 signatures necessary for its presentation at the table of parts of the Congress, mainly from Avanza País, Renovación Popular and Podemos Perú.
The motion links Condori with "a series of complaints for functional misconduct, alleged acts of corruption, acts against ethics in professional practice, which can lead to attacks against public health . "
Likewise, it points out the “lack of suitability” of Hernán Condori to hold “such an important position in a sector that is sensitive to the population due to the health emergency situation in the country and the world . ”
In the same way, it recalls the resignation of the High Level Consultative Team (ECAN) of the Minsa for considering that "there are no conditions for an autonomous and consistent exercise of its responsibilities" , in addition to the departure of professionals from the highest management by the appointment of “inexperienced personnel, some of them with complaints and ongoing processes for offenses against the public administration” .
"For these reasons, the resignation of the minister has been repeatedly requested, having replied that he will not resign, clinging to a position for which he is not prepared and putting the health of the population at risk in a critical situation due to the health emergency , " underlines.
