Portugal Fashion And Trano௠Together In The Promotion Of National Design

David Catalán, Estelita Mendonça and Huarte are the first Portuguese designers to present their collections at Tranoï, official trade show partner of the Paris Fashion Week, under the wing of Portugal Fashion. The Portuguese representation in this first partnership action also includes brandin.pt and Duarte, designer of ModaLisboa.
The initiative closes the most recent partnership between Portugal Fashion and Tranoï, announced at the end of May of this year. The first participation in Paris, after the signed agreement, will be in the men’s week, spring-summer 2023, from June 23rd to June 26th 2022, at Palais Tokyo.
The event is dedicated to designers with a creative approach. Only 45 designers have been selected by TRANOÏ and the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode (FHCM), organizer of Paris Fashion Week, to present their brands at the renowned event.
Supported by Tranoï’s enormous network of contacts and by the Féderation de la Haute Couture et de la Mode (FHCM), Portugal Fashion joins a partner of enormous international relevance for the promotion of the Portuguese fashion business. In each edition, Portugal Fashion will be responsible for the proposal of names for participation, being the choice and curatorship of the brands in charge of Tranoï, using its know-how of several years and evaluating the international positioning that each brand may have in the several world markets.
The two entities signed an agreement for six editions in Paris and three editions in Oporto. In addition to the participation of Portuguese designers in the show in France, Tranoï is responsible for inviting buyers to the national Portugal Fashion editions until October 2023.
