Immediately touching the viewer's eyes when entering the exhibition space is the work "Pollen" with the image of a welcoming colorful flowering tree.
Next, the colorful space with the largest work in the shape of fireworks is like the sun illuminating all species.
Smaller-sized works interspersed in the exhibition area all have special movements like a wind has just passed.
The flowers, grass, sprouts, wind, water drops ... are sculpted from inherently hard materials such as stainless steel, stone, wood. It is easy for viewers to feel the atmosphere of the exhibition without being too burdened with understanding his sculptures.
Dam Dang Lai himself also shared that "art is incomprehensible and inexplicable".
Dam Dang Lai said that he had lived in Japan for a long time, and the sad white snow-covered space inspired him to create colorful works.
His compositions return to their familiar roots from childhood, inspired by colors from festivals of ethnic minorities in the Central Highlands, the tree has only a few colors but a healthy appearance. , or places of worship are always filled with warm colors.
From those ideas, based on the sculpture space, Dam Dang Lai has created unique works on many different materials. Before his works, viewers feel both joyful and unusually peaceful.
"I just hope that when people see my sculptures, they will feel the positive energy from the works" - Dam Dang Lai shared.
An exhibition to introduce to the public 28 works of Dam Dang Lai will take place from now until the end of July 20. This is the first exhibition he presents works created in both Japan and Vietnam.
