Preferences of Peruvians when buying an apartment
According to William Ticona, general manager of Grupo T&C, new market trends have been identified. For example, that the demand for 1 and 2-bedroom apartments concentrated 86% of the total.
In addition, there is a preference for homes with less than 40m2 footage, these represented 18% of the demand, almost the same as the separations of properties between 60 and 80m2 (22%). The largest segment of demand is still concentrated in apartments between 40 and 60m2.
Regarding districts, Lima Top grouped 67% of the demand, with the majority of divisions of departments in Miraflores (24%) and San Isidro (22%), followed by Surco (16%) and Barranco (5%).
For its part, in Modern Lima the largest number of separations are found in Lince (11%) and San Miguel (11%), followed by Magdalena (9%) and Jesús María (2%).
“The majority of clients chose to separate with a conventional mortgage loan (62%); however, a significant percentage of the financing was covered with the MiVivienda credit (16%), an option that we have enabled in all of our projects” , concluded Ticona. Read More…
