Regarding the draft revised Law on Social Insurance, which is being consulted, the Ministry of Education and Training proposes the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to consider early retirement for preschool teachers with at least 15 years of service. more (up to 5 years).
Reducing retirement age for health
According to the Ministry of Education and Training, preschool teachers must care, educate and nurture children from 3 months to 6 years old. This is the age that requires caregivers and educators to be highly focused during the time children are at school to ensure the safety of children.
“Therefore, in professional activities, preschool teachers are under a lot of pressure, causing psychological inhibition, directly affecting physical and mental health,” said the Ministry of Education and Training.
Preschool teachers must be at school early in the morning to pick up children and come home late. During the lesson, the teachers have to dance, sing, exercise, take care of hyperactive children… so the teacher’s health must be good, quick reflexes.
Therefore, the Ministry of Education and Training recommends that the retirement age for preschool teachers be up to 5 years lower than prescribed.
Thus, according to the Labor Code 2019, and at the request of the Ministry of Education and Training, the retirement age of preschool teachers will be 55 years old for girls and 57 years old for boys. Read More…
