Romania: Entry period opens for Selectia Nationala, grand final set for 5 March
This week, Romanian broadcaster TVR confirmed it would return to its national final Selecția Națională. Now TVR has revealed details of the 2022 national final and opened the entry period. The show will involve a two-part semi-final system and one grand final.
Selecția Națională project manager shared her enthusiasm for the new edition of the national final. She confirmed that the competition would be open to songwriters from outside Romania:
“I hope that the return to SelecÈ›ia NaÈ›ională will be auspicious, and the artists will take advantage of this opportunity to try their chance to represent Romania at Eurovision. We will strongly promote the registration period, including among music schools and production houses. We are also waiting for projects made by composers from abroad, in order to increase the registration volume and, implicitly, the level of competition.”
Entries are now open for Selecția Națională 2022
Entries for Selecția Națională are open now and will close on 19 December. Entries cost 200 lei (around 40 euros). Applicants are required to submit both the studio version of the song and a basic video recording of the artist singing the song a cappella.
