Russian sports bestseller will be released in Italy
After the official signing of the contract, we spoke with Lina Baryshnikova, the owner of the Performing Forward publishing house, Alexander Yaremenko, General Secretary of the All-Russian Volleyball Federation of Russia, and Damir Kolets, one of the authors of the book, about this important international event in the field of sports science, education and book publishing.

Lina Baryshnikova, creator of the book, owner of the publishing house and school of trainers "Performing Forward"
— How did you manage to find a common language with the Italians today?
— Russian-Italian cooperation has a long history, during which political and economic ties have been strengthened and built up. Russian people have always been fascinated by Italy, its art, literature, the Italian people themselves and their way of life. In turn, the Italians traditionally sympathize with Russia and its people, regardless of the military-political elections that the country's leadership has taken and is taking, both at critical moments of the 19th and 20th centuries, and today. Despite the general political situation in the world now, the development of sports science and education should be independent and accessible to everyone.
— How did you manage to agree with the Italians on the publication of a Russian book?
- After the publication of our book in France, it was expected that publishing houses of the Old and New Worlds would be interested in it. During a book fair this April in London, where our Russian book about volleyball in French was presented, we were contacted by the owner of the oldest publishing house in Rome. According to the copyright transfer agreement and the confidentiality clause, until the official presentation of the book in Italy, I do not have the right to disclose the names of my partners. Therefore, we confine ourselves to general information.
- Who helped you in the negotiations?
— Negotiations on the publication of the book and its promotion on the market is already the final stage. Much more important is product preparation. Next - the support of those people who helped not only create, but also bring the book to bestsellers in their native country. I receive support from the leadership of the All-Russian Volleyball Federation on fundamentally important issues.
- What does a person feel when he sees how valuable his work is, and not only in Russia?
- I think everyone who took part in writing and creating the book will answer like this: "What a parent feels when he sees the success of his children."
In what other countries do you plan to publish this book?
— Together with the authors, we have created a real diamond that will help not only professional athletes and coaches, but also volleyball fans all over the world. And, of course, I want to see our book in many countries.

Alexander Yaremenko, Secretary General of the All-Russian Volleyball Federation
— Alexander Mikhailovich, you played and lived in Italy for some time. Tell me, how did you react to the news about the publication of the book in this country?
— Of course, the recognition of Russian books in the international arena is very important. First of all, I felt proud of a job well done.
