Serbian Para Athlete Željko Dimitrijević won a bronze medal at the Paralympic Games
Serbian para athlete Željko Dimitrijević secured a bronze medal in the cone throw discipline at the Paralympic Games, marking Serbia's sixth medal in Paris. Competing in the F51 category, Dimitrijević achieved a throw of 34.18 meters. This achievement adds to his impressive career, as he previously won gold medals in the same event at the London 2012 and Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.
The gold medal in the event was claimed by Indian athlete Darambir with a throw of 34.92 meters, while his compatriot Pranav Sorma took the silver.
Another Serbian competitor, Filip Graovac, narrowly missed the podium, finishing fourth with a throw of 32.21 meters, and Aleksandar Radišić placed seventh with 31.32 meters.
Earlier in the day, Dragan Ristić won Serbia's first gold medal in para-archery. Additionally, Borislava Perić-Ranković secured two medals: she has advanced to the finals in the individual competition and won a silver medal in doubles alongside Nada Matić. Para-tennis player Mitar Palikuća won bronze in the singles competition, and para-athlete Nebojša Đurić earned a silver medal in the shot put.
