Sudan, Ethiopia delegations in Juba to reinforce peace agreement
A delegation from Sudan and Ethiopia arrived in Juba Monday morning to shore up the revitalised peace agreement.
The Sudanese delegation is headed by Gen. Shams-Eddin Kabbashi, a member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) while Ethiopia is represented by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali.
The visit comes amidst Sudan’s push for stability in South Sudan.
Kabbashi is the current chair Inter-Governmental Authority on Development (IGAD) which also a key guarantor ofthe revitalized peace agreement signed between the South Sudanese parties.
According to the Sudan News Agency (SUNA), Kabbashi is being accompanied by the minister of defence, Lt. Gen. Yassin Ibrahim Yassin, and the acting minister of foreign affairs, Amb. Ali Al-Sadiq. Read More..
