Sweden claim mixed relay title on home soil at Cross-Country World Cup
The Swedish team claimed victory in the mixed 4x5km relay classic free discipline at the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) Cross-Country World Cup in Falun.
The team was made up of Calle Halfvarsson, Moa Ilar, Edvin Anger and Jonna Sundling, who led the host nation to their first win of the weekend.
Sundling, who went last, was 2.6 seconds behind first-place Italy and in fourth-place heading into the final leg as she made a comeback to win the race, 4.6 seconds ahead of second-place Norway.
The Norwegians won the last mixed relay World Cup event that was held in December in Beitostølen, Norway.
In third were Germany, who finished 6.4 seconds behind the leaders, while Norway's second team were 0.1 seconds away from a podium position.
"It's so nice (to win), especially with these guys," said Sundling.
"It was good.
