Take care of your skin this summer. How can you destroy it, thinking you are doing it good. Ioana Marinescu's trick to not have problems
Ioana Marinescu, founder of PLUSH BIO, specialist in the formulation and evaluation of dermatocosmetic products, member of the Romanian Society of Dermatology, explained, in a show for DCNews and Spectacola, why aggressive therapies are not indicated in the hot season.
"Summer is the most delicate season, because the skin is exposed to the sun and automatically it will hyperpigment faster, automatically it will load faster. Summer is a time when, if we had acne, we might have a recurrence", said Ioana Marinescu.
"It's very hot, the skin secretes a lot of sebum, more than normal, and it gets dehydrated. And then it is very important to maintain good skin hygiene, and in principle, in the summer, I would not recommend doing aggressive therapies to depigment the areas where we had pimples or for the scarring of these areas. Instead, we can maintain a dietary rigor, hygiene, ingredients that work in the sense of healing. We can opt for light peelings. We can stay on retinoids", explained Ioana Marinescu.
People who deal with teenage acne end up being lucky
Ioana Marinescu sent an extremely important message for young people who face acne.
“It shouldn't affect us so emotionally. Let's understand that beauty does not lie in the perfection of the skin at the moment. Every problem has a way to fix it. To understand our skin, not to attack it unnecessarily, to clean it all the time, it is essential to keep it clean. Moreover, let us understand that every trial has a purpose. I was actually telling the young women who come to the office and who are very beautiful, but with small bags, and they feel very bad. I say my colleague doesn't have pimples, why do I have them, the parents also come and ask. I'll tell you this: people who have pimples and oily skin in adolescence, skin with all kinds of problems, in adulthood will be lucky to have skin that does not wrinkle so quickly, that looks very good, is very elastic, compared to female colleagues from her youth who were lucky enough not to have acne, but their skin will be more dehydrated, wrinkled, dry, with the passage of time. And maybe neglected, because, looking very good, you will certainly neglect your skin", said Ioana Marinescu.
Also, the specialist added: "Always, those who had blemishes, pimples in adolescence and were unhappy because of it, will have younger skin for a long time. It's how your skin looks later that matters. It's hard for very young girls to understand now, but they'll remember it years from now when they look very young in their 40s." Read More…
