Tells Raymond Johansen to drop Rødt. The Conservatives and Liberals promise Oslo support in return
The list tops for Conservative and Liberal in Oslo offer to cooperate with Ap on major issues until the election - if city council leader Raymond Johansen (Ap) breaks with Rødt.
In several forums, Oslo city council leader Raymond Johansen (Ap) has come out against Rødt and the party's group leader in Oslo, Siavash Mobasheri. He has criticized Rødt's stance on not sending weapons to Ukraine.
- The consequence of what Mobasheri wants is that Russia will win the war. That's why he goes on Putin's errands, the city council leader said, among other things, in an interview with Klassekampen.
The settlement with Rødt receives full support from the Conservative Party's Eirik Lae Solberg and the Liberal Party's Hallstein Bjercke. But the two opposition leaders believe Johansen must follow up with action.
- I believe that Raymond Johansen is completely sincere, and that this comes from the heart. At the same time, it appears a bit hollow when he has given as much power and influence to Rødt as he has, says Hallstein Bjercke.
- Our point is that it must end. Such an extreme party cannot be allowed to take part in governing the capital, says Eirik Lae Solberg.
Offers collaboration across the block boundary
Eirik Lae Solberg is Raymond Johansen's main challenger for the position of Oslo city council leader. The Liberals stand behind Solberg and want a city council together with the Conservative Party and MDG.
