The 12 Best Luxury Hotels in Manila, Philippines

Whether you’re coming to Manila for the first time or you’re a seasoned traveler, you’re bound to fall in love with everything this city has to offer time after time. From the friendly people and the rich culture to the exotic street food and amazing shopping centers, there’s something for every kind of traveler here!

First, we can’t stop gushing about Manilenos, which is what they call Filipinos who live in Manila. They’re unbelievably friendly and hospitable and love to laugh, sing, dance, cook, and enjoy life!

There really are no strangers in the Philippines, so expect to be treated like family during your stay. Plus, since almost everyone speaks English and is happy to help, it’s easy to make your way around this sprawling city and check out all of Manila’s top attractions.

There are tons of things to do in Manila – from exploring centuries-old cathedrals to watching the sunset from one of the many swanky rooftop lounges. At night, you can bar hop along bustling Burgos Street or immerse yourself in the festive atmosphere at Remedios Circle. Manila is also a fantastic shopping destination, so don’t forget to get a souvenir (or 10!) to take home with you.

Plus, it’s no secret that the capital city of the Philippines is brimming with incredible hotels, which makes choosing where to stay in Manila a bit overwhelming. This massive city is packed with historic charmers, uber-luxurious retreats, hidden boutique gems, and everything in between. So we created this list of the 12 best hotels in Manila to help make your trip planning just a little bit easier!

Where to Stay in Manila

The Philippines is definitely an epic travel destination, but the traffic will drive you insane if you’re not careful. That’s why location is so important when you’re looking for the best hotels in Manila, so you can be close to all the action without spending hours stuck in gridlock.

Some of our favorite areas to stay in are Makati and Bonifacio Global City (BGC), which is Manila’s version of the Upper East Side in New York City. BGC, in particular, has one of the highest concentrations of celebrity and expat residents in the city.

You’ll also find plenty of shops in both places – everything from fancy department stores like SM Aura Premier to more affordable options like Market! Market! And if you want to get out into nature for the day, you can head over to the Ayala Triangle Gardens in Makati or explore BGC’s sports courts, bike paths, and green spaces.

If you prefer something more rustic, you’ll love Malate. It’s in Old Manila and within walking distance to some of the city’s most popular destinations: the National Museum, Intramuros, and Rizal Park, where you’ll find the famous Rizal Monument. And if you’re looking for a bite or a drink, many of its restaurants and bars are open 24/7, including Japanese hibachis, Korean BBQ joints, and food carts selling different kinds of snacks.

Wherever you choose to stay, those areas offer some of the coolest Manila hotels around!

1. Sheraton Manila Bay

From the moment you step into the lobby of Sheraton Manila Bay, you’ll be blown away by its contemporary design. From the marble floors and huge open interior to the inviting seating areas and modern art pieces on display, this place is nothing short of incredible!

Sink into one of the giant sofas and recharge your batteries with a cup of freshly brewed coffee or tea at The Lobby Lounge before heading up to your room or suite. You can choose from a variety of room types at Sheraton Manila Bay, but we highly recommend booking one of their Club Rooms to gain access to an exclusive lounge with complimentary breakfast, evening drinks and bites, and all-day snacks. Read More…
