The global leader in the mobile games industry intends to develop in Poland. Playtika is just moving to Warsaw

The gaming industry is currently one of the fastest growing branches of business. According to the forecasts of Newzoo, a leading company dealing with research in this entertainment sector, this year a new record will be broken and its global value will exceed USD 203.1 billion (compared to USD 192.7 billion last year), recording an increase of 5.4%. y / y In two years, by 2024, it is expected to reach USD 222 billion.
According to Newzoo analysts, the number of players will also be a record this year. will already reach 3.09 billion users. The mobile games segment, the value of which will exceed USD 100 billion for the first time, is expected to account for more than a half (51%) of this year's industry revenues.
Poland is also a dynamically operating market in this segment, which is confirmed, inter alia, by The Games Industry of Poland 2021 report. It shows that the increase in the revenues of the Polish gamedev industry over the last 3 years remained at the level of about 30%, but in 2020 - despite the pandemic - it increased significantly, and Polish game developers generated revenues of EUR 969 million). The report also shows that there are approx. 20 million players in Poland (of which only every fifth is under 18), and the domestic gamedev industry employs approx. 12,000. people.
This is the potential that NASDAQ-listed Playtika Group, one of the leaders in the entertainment and mobile gaming technology market, wants to use. The company, founded in 2010, was one of the first companies to offer "free-to-play" social games on social networks and later on mobile platforms.
