Three Venezuelan albums among the best Billboard
Billboard has recently published its list of the best Latin music albums of 2024 so far, featuring three Venezuelan albums among its top picks. The Venezuelan artists who made the list are Lagos, Mau and Ricky, and Danny Ocean.
Danny Ocean’s album, Reflexa is ranked at number 11. The album is noted for its eclectic mix of rhythms and influences, navigating through themes of heartbreak, lust, love, and the quest to live authentically, all with an elevated pop sound that incorporates electronic and Middle Eastern influences.
Hotel Caracas by Mau and Ricky, is placed at number 14. Billboard describes this album as a fun journey from start to finish, filled with nostalgia, humor, and good vibes. It highlights the musical prowess that the duo, composed of brothers Mau and Ricky, brings to the table.
Lagos' Alta Fidelidad is ranked 16th. The duo, consisting of Luis Jiménez and Agustín Zubillaga, explores love in all its stages with their distinctive electro-pop sound, from the sweetness of romance to the pain of a breakup.
The list is topped by Mexican artist Peso Pluma with Éxodo. Following him, Shakira's Las mujeres ya no lloran is in second place, and Kali Uchis' Orquídeas is third.
These rankings underscore the diversity and creativity within the Latin music scene, showcasing a mix of well-established and emerging artists making significant impacts in 2024.
