Tips for the perfect pedicure at home

There is no place to be afraid of sandals in the summer season if you perfect a home pedicure.

Even in the best moments, the feet are hardly the most glamorous parts of the body. Even after months hidden in socks and boots, it is fair to say that now is the time for a little care, writes zadovoljna.rs .

Here are some helpful tips and tricks on how to make the perfect home pedicure.

1. Soak your feet for a week before the treatment , to soften them well and peel dry skin.

Start by soaking your feet for five minutes in warm water.

Then put on socks for an hour while watching TV, take them off and wash.

In the next week or so, the hardest skin on your feet will separate and peel into large pieces.

Of course, this is not ideal if you plan to go out into the city in shoes with open toes and heels, but if you have time, it is best to let things go their course and do this for the first week.

2. Firm your feet

There are a number of devices that promise to remove hard skin with minimal effort, but nothing is more effective than treating them well with a foot file.

What is important is to always use it on a dry foot.

When the skin is wet, it tends to become rubberier. So you can smooth it better on a dry foot.

Focus on the whole foot, not just the dry heel. Before descending to the heel, look under the toes and use your toes to reveal protrusions under the fourth or fifth toe. If you see and feel a line of bumps, gently use a file to remove it.

3. Clean your feet and cut your nails

Now it's time to remove the old nail polish and make a beautiful, neat nail shape.

The best approach is to cut the toenails straight and try not to remove the white tip. However, leave a little of that part, because it protects part of your nail. If you cut them too short, the nails can start to grow.

As for the tools, use specialized nail scissors, and then use a file to get rid of any sharp edges.

4. Soak and soften the feet

Fill the basin with hot water, put a handful of aromatic bath salts or a few drops of essential oils and soak your feet for at least 15 minutes.

If you want an additional effect, you can also use some of the foot scrubs. Read More…
