Tokyo reports more week-on-week cases for 4th straight day
Tokyo on May 10 reported 4,451 COVID-19 cases, an increase of 1,094 from the same day a week ago, as tallies rose in many parts of the nation, including Aichi and Osaka prefectures.
In Tokyo, the daily count marked the fourth consecutive day that cases increased from the same day of the previous week.
The seven-day average of new infections over the week until May 10 in the capital was 3,426, or 88 percent of the number recorded for the preceding week.
In Aichi Prefecture, authorities reported 3,000 cases on May 10, marking the fourth straight day of a week-on-week increase.
