Jake Foster from Cincinnati, Ohio, representing the Mason Manta Rays, prevented Nic Fink from Morristown, New Jersey, swimming for Metro Atlantic Aquatic Club, from sweeping the men's breaststroke events in this TYR Pro Swim Series held in Mission Viejo. Reflecting on her performance, Weitzeil commented, "The weekend went well, but I wasn't particularly thrilled with this swim. The goal is always to swim faster than in the morning, so upon reflection, I realize I rushed it a bit. There's much more room for improvement. I'm excited about the upcoming five weeks and starting to settle into my rhythm. I'm genuinely excited about my swims and knowing that there are more to come. Although my 50m performance in Fort Lauderdale was slightly faster, it was only by a small margin."
The next event on the competition calendar is the 2023 Phillips 66 National Championships, scheduled to take place from June 27 to July 1 at the Indiana University Natatorium in Indianapolis, Indiana.
