Treasury and IDB discussed structural reforms
The Minister of Finance, Oscar Llamosas, met with a high delegation of authorities from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), led by the Vice President for Countries, Richard Martínez, and the Vice President for Sectors and Knowledge, Benigno López, at the headquarters of the State Secretary.
During the meeting, the actions that the Government has been carrying out in terms of structural reforms were discussed. These actions have been key to improving Paraguay's image in the world and the IDB has been a strategic ally in this regard.
On the occasion, Minister Llamosas highlighted the work that the Ministry of Finance has been carrying out with the Inter-American Development Bank team regarding its portfolio of Projects, reforms regarding the Pension System and Corporate Governance, and initiatives on climate change.
The IDB delegation was also made up of the advisor of the Office of the Directors for Bolivia, Paraguay and Uruguay, Germán Rojas; the resident representative in Paraguay, Edna Armendáriz; the head of Operations, Pablo Tabilo; and the country economist, Soledad Feal.
