Trio Mio robbed by 'polite' thieves who greeted him before ordeal
He was going home after leaving the studio.
Kenyan rapper Trio Mio is still in shock after he was robbed at gun point. The young lad lost his two phones and a pair of his car keys.
Speaking with Abidan Ndela, he says he was accosted by three guys before they stole from him.
"I was coming from the studio around 12-1am when I decided to pass by the hood. I found 3 people hanging around here."
Trio says the guys identified him and even said 'hi' before they went on to brandish a gun on him.
"As I was locking my car, two of the three guys approached me. One removed a gun another had a panga, the one with the gun placed it on my tummy and warned me not to do anything stupid.
They stole my phones and my car keys, I almost gave them my clothes, I was ready and willing to remain with a boxer."
Trio is not the first artist to be robbed at gun point in the recent past. Njugush was once robbed around UoN.
The comedian encountered a middle-aged woman limping on the road which prompted him to slow down.
A quick conversation with the woman, through the vehicle's window, made Njugush realise that she had imbibed on a few drinks prior to their chance encounter.
"She smells [alcohol] but I guess ni stress so I teremsha kioo kidogo. She says she has kids who've not eaten for days.
