Use of masks by students in schools will be optional, announces the Government
The Minister of Education, Rosendo Serna, announced this Thursday that the use of masks by school children in school classrooms will be “optional and optional”, in the context of the fourth wave of the coronavirus (COVID-19).
In dialogue with TV Peru, the member of the ministerial cabinet indicated that the decision was approved unanimously this Thursday in an extension of the session of the Council of Ministers.
“The decision has been made that the use of masks in classrooms for students will be optional, it will be optional , that is, the student who, together with their parents, have made the decision not to use them, simply will not wear the masks from the issuance of the modification of the supreme decree, which I suppose should be issued tomorrow,” said Serna.
“Children or young people make the decision, also surely in conversation with their parents, to continue using the masks they are going to do, (the decision) is a big step towards better socialization and communication that allows learning to be improved ”, he added.
Meeting with the Minsa
Previously, the Minister of Education, Rosendo Serna, indicated that a meeting of technicians from the Ministry of Health (Minsa) was convened for an analysis of the non-mandatory use of masks in schoolchildren in the midst of the fourth wave of coronavirus in Peru. Read More…
