Van Gogh paintings will come to life in Guayaquil thanks to immersive technology
In 2022, Quito was amazed by the exhibition “Van Gogh Alive, a Real + Immersive experience “. And from June 7, 2023, the renowned exhibition, present in five countries in the region, will be in Guayaquil.
The exhibition of 200 paintings is inspired by the works of one of the geniuses of art: the Dutch painter Vincent Van Gogh.
But it contains an additional element: the help of immersive technology to make the painter’s colors and paintings leave the frames and come ‘alive’.
Immersive technologies are a set of tools that introduce the user into a virtual environment, usually through some device, such as augmented reality glasses or special applications.
In the case of the exhibition, projected in the capital, there was an immersive and multimedia room with huge panels that recreated scenes from Van Gogh’s works.
And in Guayaquil, the exhibition will be open in the parking lot of the Policentro shopping center, in the north of the city. It will be available until September 15, 2023, but could be extended based on public acceptance.
30 state-of-the-art projectors and live narration by expert guides will be used to transport people to the painter’s time. Read More…
