Venezuelan NGO announces delays in treatment for cancer patients
The Human Rights Observatory of the Venezuelan NGO Fundaredes announced this Saturday, World Cancer Day, that the deterioration in health centers and medical equipment causes delays in treatments and check-ups for patients with this disease.
"Closures of deteriorating health centers, equipment in poor condition, lack of supplies and medicines mean that cancer patients do not receive timely treatments and check-ups, and in many cases they must cross the Venezuelan border to get medical attention in Colombia.
