Two people were killed and two others were injured after a truck hit a battery-run auto-rickshaw in Mirsharai upazila of Chattogram today (June 14, 2022).
The deceased were identified as Mohammed Rubel (30) and auto-rickshaw driver Md Yousuf (40), our Chattogram staff correspondent reports quoting police.
Sufal Chandra, sub-inspector Zorarganj Police Station, said a speeding stone-laden truck hit the auto-rickshaw from the opposite direction in Korerhat area around 1pm, leaving Rubel and Yousuf dead on the spot and two other passengers injured, said
The injured, Khurshed Alam and Nazmul Hossen, were taken to Chattogram Medical College Hospital, he said.
Police seized the truck but its driver and helper managed to flee the scene, the police official added. Read More...
