When you like someone, hearing the word friend zone can scare the life out of you! You’re desperate for that one person to like you back to the point that being friend-zoned can shatter your heart to pieces.
But little do we know that being in the friend zone is not really that bad after all. Let’s put a hold on those romantic heartbeats for a second and get to know a bit about the perks of being friend-zoned!
Pressure Is Off
The pressure of whether or not someone likes you back can be quite real sometimes! Being at the edge of your seat all the time isn’t at all a great way to spend time with your favorite person. The mysterious side of not knowing if they like you back or not can really make you overthink the situation way more than you need to.
Knowing you’re in the friend zone will take that pressure right off and you’ll finally feel comfortable to truly and completely be yourself because you wouldn’t worry about that person not liking you the same way you like them anymore.
Figuring out exactly where you stand takes the overthinking out of it. Less stress doesn’t sound that bad at all, does it?
Lower Expectations
In case you didn’t already know, being in a relationship comes with plenty of expectations! If you were to date that person you’re crushing on, your relationship would be quite different.
They’ll start expecting way more of you than they currently do. They’ll expect your full undivided attention. They’ll want you to go overboard for them.
Don’t we all just prefer it the simpler way? Being friend-zoned is a scenario where they don’t really expect that much from you. You’ll remain their best friend who genuinely cares about them without being obligated to.
