Agnese Štrause-Kubliņa Becomes Head of Entertainment and Documentary Content at Latvia’s LTV
Latvian public broadcaster LTV has announced the appointment of Agnese Štrause-Kubliņa as the new head of entertainment and documentary content. This strategic move comes as LTV continues to evolve and adapt to the changing media landscape.
Štrause-Kubliņa previously served as the head of LTV’s children, youth, and entertainment broadcasting department, a position she held since 2020 until January of this year. Her extensive experience in the industry includes a tenure as an executive producer at LTV in 2015 and 2016. Following that role, she took a hiatus from television to work as a project coordinator and researcher for the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Riga from 2016 to 2020.
Before her time at LTV, Štrause-Kubliņa was an executive producer at SIA Domburs from 2006 to 2011. This production company, founded by prominent Latvian journalist and TV host Jānis Domburs, was responsible for producing LTV’s current affairs show, "What’s Happening in Latvia?"
Štrause-Kubliņa’s appointment comes at a pivotal time for LTV, which has officially merged with its radio counterpart, Latvijas Radio, to form Latvia Public Media. This merger aims to enhance the quality and reach of public media services in Latvia, and Štrause-Kubliņa’s leadership in entertainment and documentary content will be crucial in shaping the future of programming in this new entity.
With her diverse background and proven track record in broadcasting, Agnese Štrause-Kubliņa is well-positioned to lead LTV’s efforts in delivering engaging and impactful content to Latvian audiences.
