Art Fair Philippines 2023 is happening: 7 things to look forward to
After two years, Art Fair Philippines returns to The Link carpark in Makati City, taking place from February 17-19.
Now on its 10th year, Art Fair Philippines will include a digital section, tributes to two late art world personalities, Norma Liongoren (Liongoren Gallery), and Albert Avellana (Avellana ArtGallery), several featured artists, and a new venue layout design.
According to Art Fair Philippines co-founder Dindin Araneta, the new layout design will make use of a veneer made of Philippine bamboo and be featured in social spaces at the venue "to give an Art Fair a fresh new feeling and support the whole biophilic concept."
Biophilic design involves incorporating nature and the environment into any given space.
"One thing that is so, I think, interesting about the Art Fair is that there are so many points of interest that a viewer can come in to," she continued.
"For example, if you like digital art, if you're interested in that, we have that. If you want to know about what's happening in the communities, we have many ways to do it, like we have the regional focus, and then, we have the residency programs," she said. "And we also have the education programs, we have the talks, we have the workshops, we have a film program, and then, we have restaurants and places to eat and to drink around the Link," she added.
Here's what's in store for you at Art Fair Philippines 2023.
