Bangladesh Reports 68 More Covid-19 Cases
Bangladesh has recorded an additional 68 Covid-19 cases within a span of 24 hours, until Sunday morning. According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), this brings the country's total number of cases to 2,039,639.
Fortunately, there were no new fatalities reported, keeping the official death toll from the disease unchanged at 29,448.
The daily positivity rate for Covid-19 tests has seen a rise, reaching 7.64 percent compared to Saturday's rate of 6.11 percent. A total of 892 samples were tested during this period.
The recovery rate has experienced a decline and now stands at 98.37 percent, while the death rate remains steady at 1.44 percent.
It is worth mentioning that Bangladesh witnessed its highest daily caseload on July 28, 2021, with 16,230 reported cases. Additionally, the highest number of fatalities, totaling 264, was recorded on August 10 of the same year.
