Barnabás Varga back in Training after Injury during Euro game against Scotland
Barnabás Varga, the Ferencváros (Fradi) striker who suffered a serious injury during the UEFA Euro 2024 group game against Scotland, has returned to training just over two weeks after his surgery. Varga surprised his teammates by joining them at their training camp in Austria, as reported by Magyar Nemzet.
The Hungarian footballer will initially engage in light exercises, such as cycling and gym activities, and is expected to start more intensive training in about three to four weeks. Despite the severity of his injury, Varga remains optimistic about his recovery.
“In three to four weeks, I will be able to do some serious training, but in a mask, because football cannot stop. The full recovery will take six months, but I will be able to play in the meantime. I will have to wear the mask until my full recovery,” Varga explained.
This update marks a significant step in Varga's recovery process, indicating his determination to return to the field as soon as possible while taking necessary precautions to ensure complete healing.
