Bulgaria may turn to Israel for assistance in its investigation into a cryptocurrency lender accused of turning a blind eye to Russian sanctions violations and terrorist financing, a top Bulgarian legal official told Haaretz.
“If necessary, we might need to draw a mutual legal assistance request to Israel to obtain any further information we might need,” Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev said during a recent interview. “We’re friends and partners with the State of Israel and we have shared interests, especially in the area of the fight against terrorism.” Read More..
