A 60-year-old driver experienced a car accident this morning at the Aixovall roundabout, resulting in his vehicle overturning. The incident occurred around 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday when the driver reportedly suffered from dizziness, leading to a loss of control while driving downhill.
According to the police, the accident involved only the Spanish-registered tourist vehicle. Emergency services, including police officers, firefighters, and an ambulance, were promptly dispatched to the scene to assist the victim. Fortunately, the driver declined medical assistance, stating that he felt in good condition despite the incident.
The Fire Department conducted necessary cleaning and safety operations at the site, concluding their tasks around 11:45 a.m. However, during the cleanup, significant traffic congestion was reported, with queues extending over two kilometers as vehicles were redirected.
Authorities are reminding drivers to remain vigilant and prioritize their health while on the road to prevent similar incidents in the future.
